CLT ADU

Cross
Laminated
Timber

is an advanced wood system for building quickly and safely

In a factory, long pieces of wood are attached to form large panels that can be used for a roof, floor or entire walls in a house.

These panels are transported to your site and assembled in a fraction of the time that it would normally take with typical lumber framing.

This system provides some very clear advantages:

Strength:

The cross-laminated wood assembly provides exceptional strength and stability.

Environmental Sustainability:  CLT is made from wood, a renewable resource. It stores carbon, reducing the building's carbon footprint. Efficient manufacturing and reduced on-site waste contribute to sustainability.

Fire Resistance:

CLT provides surprisingly good fire resistance. The outer layer chars in a fire, protecting the inner layers and slowing the spread of flames.

Beauty:

Walls made of CLT can be left unfinished on the inside.  They are beautiful, clean wood. Unfinished CLT walls have been used in Europe since the 80s and they feel nice and healthy.

Site Construction SPEED:Once the CLT panels have arrived at your site, The walls and roof can be built quickly.  Coordination while the panels are in the factory allow us to provide grooves and all notches and holes necessary for installing plumbing and electrical features.  Overall construction time and hourly labor costs are significantly reduced.

A CLT ADU that can be built quickly while still providing the safety of a high performance, Fire Smart structure is a great option.

At a moment when many California homeowners are considering building an ADU while their main house is rebuilt after a fire loss, a CLT ADU would be the perfect match to allow you to sleep on your property soon.
